Explore a maze created from straw bales and pumpkins at Dutch Growers daily from September 27 until October 30, daily 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Located inside the Dutch Growers Greenhouse, it's free and open rain or shine.
The maze is three bales high, so you can watch as your kiddos make their way through the maze, or you may want to join the fun -- especially with the smaller ones.
My family has been going since my son was not quite two-years-old. He had fun then and also just last year with his friends at the age of 9. Even if your little one is too small {or thinks they're too big} to go through the maze, there are plenty of fun fall photo opportunities for all ages.
Tables are set up for colouring activities and snack time. There is also a scavenger hunt hidden throughout the maze. There is no charge for the maze, but pumpkins are available for purchase.
The maze is often inundated with preschool and elementary school groups in the mornings. If you can wait to go after 2:30 p.m., you may find it to be a lot slower. Group trips may be arranged by booking online. Keep an eye on Dutch's Facebook page for event updates.
Dogs are invited into the maze for a special event on October 20, from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in support of Saskatoon SPCA.
