Today we wandered out to the Saskatoon Forestry Farm & Zoo to check out the new babies as well as the lovely new interactive Bird Wall.
The #birdwallyxe was created in July 2017 by Monique Martin, aka Monique Art, and sponsored by The Eye Gallery Saskatoon and Days Paints. {You can read about the artist's process on her blog.}
The mural features one large and one small set of Canada goose wings and one-size-fits all peacock plumage. It can be found on the southern wall of the barn that currently houses the Komodo Dragon exhibit.
Although you will no longer find real peacocks at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm & Zoo, you can now strut your stuff in front of this lovely mural.
I was very interested to read the recent Star Phoenix article regarding the vision of Zoo Manager Tim Sinclair-Smith for our beloved Saskatoon zoo. With this world-renowned manager at its helm, the Saskatoon Forestry Farm & Zoo is sure to develop into a world-class park.
Round up some fine-feathered friends and take advantage of the remaining 9 a.m.-9 p.m. days before school starts and the hours reduce from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
