It's Springtime in Saskatoon!  Wahoo!

The kids and I are so excited to shed the cumbersome winter gear and head out for some after-school outdoor explorations. One of the first things on our "Spring play list" was checking out the amazing playgrounds in the new Brighton community.

Brighton is a neighbourhood that's taking shape on the east end of Saskatoon. You can find it south of Highway 5 near the Wilson's Greenhouse turn-off at McOrmond Road.

There are currently two new playgrounds in the community. This particular one can be found at the southern edge of the current development. {Watch for our review of the other one to come!}

As we drove up to this playground, my 8-year-old, 4-year-old and I simultaneously said, "WOW!" It is a beauty.

My son said his favourite features were the "hideouts" in the logs. In fact, around just about every corner of the main play structure is a great opportunity for tag, hide-and-seek, or grounders. I also love how these elements inspire creative play.

The playground currently has one picnic table and a bench or two. {I admittedly didn't pay too much attention to the benches because I was having too much fun playing tag and trying out all the equipment!}

I love exploring new playgrounds with my kids, and I can definitely say we will be repeat visitors to this beautiful Brighton playground.

What's on your Spring play list?
