Last week I got an exciting package from Mark's Canada that included a new outfit for me and some new clothes for my husband. {And, a little something for one of my followers, too. Maybe you!}
I love that this package came just before a new season starts. With my son going into Grade 2 and my daughter starting preschool {gulp}, we have been in school-shopping mode here for a few weeks. Every purchase has been for our kids, but now I feel like Mom and Dad got new back-to-school clothes as well!
We took the kids and the camera out yesterday into the beautiful trees in our neighbourhood to capture a few shots in our new Mark's outfits. My husband and I are by no means professional models and my son is obviously not a professional photographer, but I think this picture turned out pretty cute. {Must be the new clothes.}
My mixed media print T-shirt is part of Mark's new arrivals. It has a light, silky polyester front with a solid T-shirt-style back and sleeves. I can see myself wearing this a lot this season as it can easily be dressed up for date night or down for errands and after-school pick-ups.
My white cropped pant is from the Alfred Sung collaboration with Mark's, and I just love my new black leather gladiator wedge sandal. I think they are both fun and functional.
So, now is when I get to announce the little something that's in it for you. I have a $50 Mark's gift card with one lucky saskmom.com follower's name on it. That could be you!
To enter the draw for the $50 Mark's gift card, in the comments section below, share what kind of back-to-school supplies you think Saskatoon moms and dads might need. {I, for example, could not resist a new set of coloured pens for coding events on our family calendar.} Click on the blue entry form for more opportunities to enter. This draw ends Thursday at 5 p.m.

Mark's recently came out with new men's footwear collections and a great assortment of jeans, including Levi's and Wranglers. Unfortunately, most of Mark's jeans have a shorter inseam, and my 6-foot-4-husband's 36" length is not carried there. But, I think his new long-sleeve slim fit print shirt and lace-up shoes from Mark's look great on him!
{FYI, this shirt comes in just under $20, and Mark's shoes are buy one, get one free right now.}

Day Planner, great for keeping every ones schedules straight.
ReplyDeleteI was happy to see your post. I agree that parents need a back to school makeover as well! I had no idea that Marks had such dressy clothes-I like it! I think technical gadgets are popular on the school lists these days. I was talking to another mom on the weekend whose daughter is entering kindergarten and they need to buy a memory card and headphones! So I can only imagine what kids in older grades require.
ReplyDelete@Josh S, agreed! Have a great season!
ReplyDelete@Angie B, thanks for the comment. Yes, I also was not aware of all the different types of clothes that Mark's carries now. I really do like my new outfit {if you couldn't already tell}.
And, yes, it is interesting to see what all the different schools and grades require from year to year. I hadn't seen the memory card on a school list yet, although my son's piano teacher wants him to have one for his lessons this year.
A New Mom Calendar! And of course, new roller ball pens! :D
ReplyDeleteNew clothes so mom and dad can have a fresh start too!
