After traveling nine-and-a-half hours on day 1 of our summer road trip, we were eager to stay in one place and relax a bit. The Delta Lodge at Kananaskis was the perfect place to do just that!
This resort in Kananaskis Village, Alberta, is just steps away from magnificent, kid-friendly, paved walking trails. We enjoyed a walk in the morning and another lovely stroll before supper.
We spent about an hour at the Delta's terrific playground. The only thing that got our two kids off the playground was the promise of swimming!
We spent much of the afternoon in the water. We kept rotating between the indoor swimming pool and the large indoor/outdoor hot tub, both with views of the mountains and evergreens. My husband and I also took turns having some relaxing quiet time in the sauna. {Funny how a few minutes of solitude can recharge the batteries, isn't it?}

There are "Kodak moments" throughout the beautiful hotel grounds. It was so nice to rest and relax in such stunning surroundings before we hop back in the Lincoln MKC for the long drive between Kananaskis and Vancouver.

We have an extra seat in the back of our Lincoln MKC {you'll get to sit between two cute kids}. Hop in and join us on Twitter and Instagram @saskmomdotcom and #saskmomtravels.
