My family is looking forward to
Ag in the City, a fun event that helps kids discover the role agriculture plays in their daily lives. This year's event will take place Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mall at Lawson Heights Food Court.

This year promises a Kid's Fun Zone with games and activities, a new Science Zone, live chicks, a live cooking demo, a pie auction, and booths from provincial agriculture organizations. Kids are encouraged to fill their "Tradeshow Passports" with stamps from each of the booths to receive a cool prize.

There will also be an opportunity to meet Saskatchewan farmers and ranchers . . . like my husband. {Our family partners with my husband's parents and brother's family in a family farming operation in Lanigan, SK.} My husband was part of the Ag in the City producer program in 2013, and our family has been asked to participate again.
