I absolutely love meeting saskmom.com followers while I'm out and about! Tonight I happened to run into someone who had just sent me the nicest note earlier in the week. I'll take it out of my "Feel Good File" and share a bit of it with you:
"Just wanted to let you know that you are doing a great job with your website. We attended the Silverspring park event today, and we plan on going to the toy library tomorrow. You are doing a FANTASTIC job at keeping your calendar extremely thorough.
I love having all the appropriate events on one site. I also appreciate that you post the events through facebook and then I see them on my newsfeed. We have been lucky to learn of some events at the last minute that our kids would LOVE to attend. Keep up the great work."
This made my day! Then randomly meeting her in person a couple days later made my week!
I asked her if there was anything she'd like to see added to the site. She said she loved all of saskmom.com's events, but scrolling through them was cumbersome. I completely agree! This has been something that I have been annoyed with for months now. I have been trying to find a calendar template option that would allow my events to be sorted by time in a neater manner.
She suggested a temporary fix might be to have jumps from the top to the date. I thought this was a fabulous idea, and came straight home and figured out how to make it so. What do you think?
Thanks for following and sharing, Daphne! If you have a suggestion for improving saskmom.com, please let me know.
