Kara Krahn, owner and designer of Polka Dot Piggy Designs, has been invited to attend the 62nd Annual Emmy's Gift Suite hosted by The Borgnine Group. Kara's reversible bibs, snuggly baby blankets and reusable snack bags will be picked up by parents with paparazzi at the pre-Emmy's event Aug. 28, 2010, in Studio City, California.
To celebrate -- and raise funds for this opportunity --Kara is hosting a Steak Night on Sunday, Aug. 15. The event will be held at the Odeon Event Centre, 241 2nd Avenue South. Cocktails begin at 5 p.m. and dinner starts at 6 p.m. There will be live entertainment from Chris Brinklow, a DJ, a silent and live auction and more.
Kara Krahn is a Saskatoon mother of four who designs adorable items for moms and kids under her own Polka Dot Piggy label. Her collection includes waterproof and reversible children's and women's aprons, various sizes of wet bags, reusable snack and sandwich bags, diaper and wipe clutches, fashion clothing and accessories for babies and more.
We bought our tickets today, and my husband and I will be attending the event as a cool dress-up date night. Yay! But, children are certainly welcome.
P.S. Kara has agreed to share pics with saskmom.com upon her return, so stay tuned!

This is your opportunity to dress like you're going to the Emmy's, have a great meal and show support a local momtrepreneur.
