Weaver Park, located on Eastlake Avenue between Hilliard Street and Ruth Street East, is a 10-acre green space in the Queen Elizabeth neighborhood. It is a space with something for all ages to enjoy.
In the fall of 2011, its playground recieved a beautiful and much-needed upgrade from its former wooden play structures. The playground now features:
- two infant swings
- one small slide and two side-by-side larger slides, all with an easy approach
- several unique climbing and balancing structures for a variety of ages
- a puppet show window (which is also a great place to play "Tim Hortons drive-through," according to Little J)
I am so proud of this park upgrade. Nice work, City of Saskatoon!
