Every Tuesday between 1 and 3 p.m., Buttons 'n' Bows Children's Boutique in Sutherland hosts a free drop-in breastfeeding clinic and baby weigh-in led by Healthy and Home Postpartum Support Program. This is a terrific opportunity to get out of the house, aquire useful information and obtain support from health care professionals and other moms.
Buttons 'n' Bows is a great venue since they also offer a kid-friendly play area for older siblings, a nursing room with a change table and some great deals on children's and maternity clothing. While they continue to offer gently used items from newborn to 6X, the majority of the store merchandise is new product. It is also the first children's store in Saskatoon to get Reebok Roughriders sportswear for kids.
On Nov. 1, 2009, Buttons 'n' Bows opened a second location in the Mall at Lawson Heights. Note that the weekly breastfeeding and weigh-in clinics are only held at the Sutherland location.
