De-clutter and help those in need by recycling these unused items:
- Books, DVDs, CDs, VHS ~ The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra collects these (as well as printed music and records) for its annual sale to help offer quality musical experiences for our community.
- Building Materials ~ Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts clean, usable doors, windows, lumber, plumbing fixtures and accessories, electrical fixtures and accessories, cabinets, hardware and some tools for use in home renovations.
- Clothing ~ A few local charities that accept gently used clothing are: The Friendship Centre, Saskatoon Food Bank, Saskatchewan Institute on Community Living, Canadian Diabetes Association, AIDS Saskatoon and Salvation Army
- Computers ~ Computers for Kids, 322 Ave. C South, refurbishes used computers and delivers them to local low-income, disabled or immigrant families without computers.
- Eyeglasses ~ The Saskatoon Lion's Club collects unused eyeglasses and sends them to third world countries.
- Graduation Dresses ~ Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo collects dresses to give to girls who may not be able to afford one.
- Maternity Wear ~ Saskatoon Pregnancy Options Centre keeps a closet of gently used maternity wear for expecting moms in need.
- Printer Cartridges ~ Staples Business Depot makes a donation to Canadian schools for each eligible cartridge.
- Shoes ~ Brainsport collects gently used shoes and provides them to individuals in need.
- Skates and Equipment ~ Meewasin Ice Skating Rink accepts used ice skates and helmets
- Suitcases ~ Wide Open Theatrical Escapades can use old suitcases for touring storage.
- Toys ~ Recycle toys through a donation to the City Park Toy Library.
