I am absolutely thrilled to have 50 fans join us on Facebook in saskmom.com's inaugural week. (Look! Now 51 as I type!)
As an extension of saskmom.com, our fan page on Facebook is a place to connect with other parents in Saskatoon. (Oh wow, 52!)
It is our hope that our Facebook fan page will not only be a place where we share updates from saskmom.com, but also a place where you can chime in with comments and ideas on our wall, through the discussion board and even in the group photo page.
If you are already a fan, welcome and spread the word to your Facebook friends! If you are not yet, please become one. Our goal is 100 fans by the end of our first two weeks. We're more than half-way there with 53 as I close this post!

This site is a great idea. If you want to capture a larger audience you may want to expand your definition of "mom". The 'baby' years are merely the beginning of motherhood.
ReplyDeleteAll of the developmental stages of parenting need tips, bargains, things to do, support and a laugh now and then. Ask friends with children of a different age to contribute - your site will do wonderful things.
Thank you so much for your comment, ~C~! I could not agree more.
ReplyDeleteWhile our jumping-off point has focused on supporting moms in their first year of maternity leave through our "365 Saskatoon Baby Adventures" series, we certainly hope to develop into a site where Saskatoon parents of any age and stage can discover, share and grow.
We hope to call on the experiences of parents like you as we move forward. We will soon announce a series of on-site and off-site discussion groups with parents of various ages that should bring light to timely topics impacting the parents of children in various stages of development.
We would also welcome guest bloggers to share their experiences as parents of older children!
Stay tuned for a number of articles that would appeal to parents of older children. And, other ideas you would like to share would be greatly appreciated!
All the best!
Wow Laura! Your site looks amazing, and I'm so thankful that you decided to help fill the "Saskatoon Informational Void" for parents. I'll be watching your site grow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a vision realized!
Thank you so much, Barb, for your encouraging words! As we close our first month, I could not be more pleased with our community's response to saskmom.com. It definitely fuels my mission to provide useful, timely, local information for Saskatoon moms, dads and caregivers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following! (I'll also be following your blogs, too, now that I know about them!)
