As I was brushing my teeth this morning, my 14-month-old kept coming into the washroom with some of the clothes that had somehow found themselves into a pile in the bedroom. He was making these strange snorting noises and I couldn't figure out what in the world he was doing.
I finally clued in...he was immitating something he had seen me do from time to time. He would pick up something from the pile and give it the "sniff test" (although his version was more like snorting).
When I stopped laughing, I said, "I think that needs to go into the laundry." He took the T-shirt from a couple days ago down the hall to the laundry room. He went back to the pile and picked up the next peice. "That is clean and needs to be hung back up in the closet." He took it to the closet and grabbed a hanger. He did this over and over until the pile was finished (so I had time to catch him in the act)!
Wow! It is quite humbling to have a one-year-old find it necessary to conduct a laundry intervention on you!

SO adorable! Laundry is quite fascinating for these young ones. XAvier likes to try dressing all of us. Today at Once Upon a Child he picked out a nice dress for me; it was cute but was for a 3 year old.
