Dad's Organic Market on 8th Street in Saskatoon held its Epic Back to School Event Sept. 1 -11. What a great event! There were several specially priced items throughout the store that would please parents of any age or stage.
To sweeten the event, Dad's gave away a number of great prizes: an iPad, a couple iPods, two tickets to the Sept. 17 Saskatchewan Roughrider game, a Rider jersey, a Sony Reader, a Wii and a Wii Fit. On Sept. 11, between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., customers enjoyed free-range hot dogs, popcorn and a live radio remote. Dad's also hosted a hula-hoop contest with a $500 gift certificate for the longest attempt.
Dad's Organic Market has everything you expect from a grocery store . . . just a little healthier. It has a nice selection of “organic and natural” produce, meats, dairy, supplements and other groceries. It also features organic and natural baby toiletries, toothpastes, vitamins, snacks and compostable diapers. There is also an interesting natural fertility section. Click here for more information about its Natural Kids section.
Earth Bound Bakery, adjacent to Dad’s, provides artisan breads, soups, sandwiches and a few treats for dessert -- all of which contain local ingredients.
Dad's is located on 8th Street beside Mano's Restaurant and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
